My artistic approach

I seek to create atmospheres, moods around my subjects. My goal is to simplify the composition to direct the eye where I want, through light, textures or color contrasts. I increasingly find myself putting my creations on paper before going out to shoot.

I am looking for a pictorial aspect that I obtain mainly on diluted backgrounds that are close to watercolorist washes. Comic strip colorists are a great source of inspiration.

I’ve also always been drawn to fantasy and science fiction films and series. I love creating blur effects that are impossible to see with the naked eye — often evoking dreamlike, almost magical imagery (such as the motion of the waves in my series “Armor“).
