Projects for 2025

Machu Picchu

Some pictures from my first trip to Peru

Lima

Arriving in the capital, Lima, a very active city in a desert area, its alleys hold many surprises like these colorful houses. A detour through Miraflores/Baranco, the neighborhoods taken over by surfers… and cormorants.

Ica

Visit to the Ballestas Islands Nature Reserve in Paracas. The cliffs and caves are home to a large population of seabirds and sea lions (penguins and dolphins were also there).

The tour continues to the Nazca Lines and the Huacachina Oasis before heading towards the Andes mountain range.

Arequipa-Colca

On the way to the altiplano, my first pass at 4,900m, this is where I see the vicunas (top), llamas (bottom left) and alpacas (bottom right).

I visit the city of Arequipa surrounded by volcanoes, the Colca canyon and its large Condors (Mirador de la Cruz del Condor).

Puno

Titicaca Lake (Titikaka in Quechua) and its floating islands (here Uros Islands)

Cusco

Cusco, the most famous city and region because it is the most touristic, notably thanks to Machu Picchu.

Many visits all have their history, Moray, Chincheron and below, the salt pans of Maras, lost at more than 3000m altitude, we see it as a white spot in the distance, it is still 3600 basins suspended on terraces for the harvest of salt.

For me the most spectacular place, the seven-colored mountains or rainbow mountains, a little scare all the same because in 3 weeks spent in Peru, it was only once the night before this visit, and at 4,900m… the mountains were covered in snow, you have to know how to be patient.
